4th of July

To celebrate the 4th of July we went to President and Sister Boyd's backyard party. It was tons of fun and finished with awesome fireworks. The kids had a blast and slept like rocks after playing all evening on the bouncy houses!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July with our family this year! My brother and sister in law just bought a new house in Cedar Hills with a killer view. We grilled, played games, then watched the fireworks shows all over the valley from the comfort of their deck. It was a nice, laid back holiday!

Happy 4th!

We had a nice and relaxed holiday. We slept in, went to see Brave in the theatre, and had a BBQ with friends. With almost the entire state in fire we opted not to buy any fireworks this year...but some neighbors did so Coleson wasn't dissapointed... Thankfully, it started raining this morning which makes everything a tiny bit safer around here!

Day 8

It's not quite July, but I saw THIS PROJECT, loved it, and made my own with materials I had around my house. Free and easy projects are my fav! (I just printed "celebrate" on the paper I used instead of using vinyl lettering. I decided to not put "Happy 4th of July" because in Utah, we also celebrate Pioneer Day on the 24th of July.)
It only took me about an hour and that included the time it took to open the box and assemble the circular saw Brian got for Christmas a few years ago!
I love the pop of color on my bookshelf next to my favorite books!
*Photographers note*-- Arranging still life is sometimes more difficult than getting a kid to look at you and smile!
