Memorial Day

Memorial Day started early with a long run. I saw this cute pig grazing with some horses and it made me smile.

After my run and breakfast we headed to Pleasant Grove to hike up to Battlecreek Falls with our friends the Read's.

That night we had a big neighborhood BBQ! It was a great holiday. I wish all Monday's could be this fun!

Cornbelly's

We got passes to Cornbelly's Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze. It's so close and so much fun. We have had some sunny ( but cold) weather recently that is just perfect for bundling up to run in the corn maze, watch pig races, and play all afternoon in the corn pit.

Roadtrip to Wisconsin: Reptile Gardens

We left Wisconsin on a Friday and drove all day to South Dakota. Saturday was spent walking around...we started at the Reptile Gardens on our way to Mt. Rushmore. It was an amazing reptile zoo with awesome animal shows. Everything was hands-on! Coleson especially LOVED the snakes, lizards and crocodiles. My favorite was the 100 year-old tortoise that Buggy kept kissing. It was walking around eating grass, but when you rubbed it's neck, it would lift his head up and look you in the eye. Bug just kept saying "hiiiiii!", stroking it's head and then giving it a kiss. If you are ever in South Dakota, make sure you stop at the Reptile Gardens.

Fall Break: Scheels

To kick off fall break we headed to the new sporting goods store. It has a play area, fish tank, stuffed and mounted animals and a $1/ride Ferris wheel! Oh yeah, and a lot of hunting, fishing, camping, etc merchandise.
