Easter!

The Easter Bunny comes to our house on Saturday morning to leave baskets filled with fun and eggs hidden for the kids to find.

Coleson and Amelia both had soccer games on Saturday, but then we headed over to a friends house for a little party and egg hunt.

After the part we drove down to BYU to the Sacred Gifts exhibit of altar pieces depicting Christ from various churches in Europe. It was gorgeous.

Coleson kept his headphones on the entire time and learned about each painting from the iPad app.

The Carl Bloch etchings were my favorite part.

It was truly the best way to end a fun, bunny filled Saturday and transition in to Easter Sunday.

I ordered the kids new Easter clothes but they didn't come in time. #momfail Oh, well, they looked pretty cute anyway! (Yes, those pants are 4 inches too short on Coleson and I actually remembered to put them away in the "too small" pile.)

It was a long weekend so the kids (& Brian) crashed pretty hard, early Sunday night. I was fine with that and had a fantastic night with my easter basket items!

18 months

Buggy is 18 months old and growing like a weed. She is  average weight but tall for her age. She talks up a storm, but I can rarely understand what she's actually saying. She does say a few words like mama, daddy, no, pees (please), din do (thank you), e-ah (Amelia), oh-en (Coleson), Jesus, go, shoes, pop (lollipop), baba (bottle), and can make various animal noises. She has a personality all her own and is very strong willed. She loves to eat oranges, any kind of fish, and most any kind of cereal.

{I attempted to get a good photo of the kids in their Easter best but, true to form, Annabelle would not be still or held in place!}

Easter

We had a fun celebrating Easter this year. We started by dying eggs.

Brian and I have decided that we want the Easter Bunny separated from the resurrection of Jesus so we've started having the bunny come on Saturday. The kids woke up to toys, new church clothes and movies. (The easter bunny had some wicked awesome coupons!) Each basket got one marshmallow peep. (The easter bunny knows I don't like my kids to have a ton of candy.) The bunny also hid a few eggs for the kids to find.

Everyone loved their Easter baskets!

On Sunday we got all dressed up for church. Our ward split (our congregation has gotten so big there weren't enough seats in the chapel & the gym so people had to sit outside in the halls) so it was an emotional meeting, on top of beautiful music and messages about Jesus Christ. Brian has been the deacon's quorum (12 year old boys) advisor and I've been teaching Coleson's 6 year old's class. We taught our last lessons in the Lehi 10th Ward...We'll see what the Lehi Westfield ward has in store for us.

After lunch and naps, we headed over to the Pott's house for family easter egg hunt and dinner.

The kids has a blast with their cousins and I enjoyed sitting around the adult table as we all told stories of the best toilet paper jobs, pranks and other april fool's jokes we'd done. We all laughed so hard. It was a great end to a wonderful Easter.

Easter

My pictures are all out of order...oh well. We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! The kids woke up to full Easter baskets that kept them entertained all morning and during Stake Conference. Conference was wonderful and a great service for Easter Sunday. Singing "He is Risen" with a chapel filled to capacity was amazing! Then we headed to family dinner and egg hunt. It was fun. Amelia even got to play around with some of Grandma's old jewelry and has been wearing clip on earrings ever since. Hope everyone had a great Easter and enjoyed celebrating Christ's resurrection.

Easter

We started our Easter celebrations by dying eggs with cousins. It was a high stress situation for me-trying to keep dye off of clothes and from spilling all over the place-but all the kids loved it!

Friday I helped with Coleson's Easter party at school. Below is all the kids running to find eggs for their egg hunt.
Coleson in his bunny ears, showing off the bag he made, filled with the eggs he found.

Friday afternoon, we went to Sherry's house for a family Easter egg hunt and dinner.

Coleson and Amelia took off! They knew exactly what to do!

Checking out their haul...
Then we headed over to Thanksgiving Pointe to the Tulip Festival. It was freezing, but beautiful.

The kids favorite part was rolling down the huge hills. I was a little jealous that I couldn't join them.
