30 Weeks!

Since I've hit the 30 week mark, and because 3 different people this week asked me if I was ready to pop, I decided it was time for a picture. Unlike my last pregnancy, and much more to my liking, I've gained all my weight in my tummy area so I look like I have a basketball stuffed under my shirt! I get more uncomfortable by the day, but overall baby and I are doing really well.

Baby Lia's room is coming together. We got the dresser put together and I finished the bedding. We've also hung curtains, a magnet board, and light. It's very pink and I love it. I feel like we have all the basics together (except for a car seat...) and I'm ready for baby!

We're having...

a GIRL!

Congrats to all those who voted girl! Here is a quick picture of my belly before heading into the ultra-sound...

This little girl did not want to be disturbed! She kept her hands over her face the whole time, and was curled up in a ball. The technician couldn't see everything at first so I had to get up and walk around, eat some candy, jump up and down, and then go back to try again. Everything is looking good. She does have a cyst in her choroid plexus (part of the brain). I know that sounds scary but it's a part of the brain that produces fluid, not the part that thinks or learns. In almost all cases it clears up by 24 weeks and all signs currently show that it will be ok. We'll have a few more ultrasounds in the next few weeks to make sure that's the case.
We are really excited for our little girl, and I can't wait to start getting her room ready! I'm doing pink, black and cream colored bedding based off of THIS picture, and some amazing fabric that my mom and I found recently. Flower, bows, and cute shoes here I come!

Pregnancy has taught me...

*Warning, This Is Gross*
Pregnancy has taught me that I prefer to puke into the kitchen sink. I prefer that over the toilet because:
1. I can let the water run and then the puke goes down the disposal. I don't have to look at it or flush half way in between either!
2. With the water running I can rinse my mouth out as I go along.
3. I don't have to bend over as far.
4. There is a wider area to aim for and less chance that I'll make a mess.
5. Coleson can't walk up close to my face and laugh at me.
6. There is less chance that there will be weird smells to make the puking worse.
Seriously, It's way better...Try it next time you're sick!
